Ugh. Although it was fun at Snowbasin, I took a coreshot from running over a obscured or hidden rock.
Luckily, I had the stuff to do a field repair, just had to go buy a lighter from the store.
Ready for action again!
it seems like chainring spacers are some kind of mystical vintage part. I've asked at almost every shop in whistler with a service department. Quite a few didn't even know what it was and couldn't comprehend what I wanted to do. Finally found some at Fanatyk Co but only ancient crusty mechanics know about these and they have poor eyesight or something. I asked for 3mm and he even used a ruler, he scrounged up 4mms.

Man, your base looks the most bus’ up of everyone’s!
I think so, Root’s base is now the most bus up; for some reason, he was intentionally hitting all the little bushes and rocks!
I wasn’t really aiming for rocks, just gave up on caring about it, and wandering into the rock garden trap did a pretty good number. The little bushes, as we later observed, scared people away so held the best stashes.
No coreshots for me, but the repair dude at REI did have amusing words for us and that same look when you bring in an impossibly tacoed rim to be trued.
Really, I was just riding along…
