Derision

I think the only roadster I frown on is the Saturn Sky.  Granted, it has an Aisin (Toyota) tranny and 260hp out of a 2-liter D/I turbo I4 which is more than some of my Z3 forebearers – it’s still so… okay, I can’t use the “G” word here, but yeah, you get the picture.  Arturo Junior’s yellow one was weaving in and out of traffic this morning.  I guess you really can’t get away from that user demographic when it comes to Saturns…

    sigh. I kinda like this car. but then, I owned a Miata so…

    Miatas/MX-5’s are fine – I’d buy one (if they weren’t so darned $$$ – especially the retractable hardtop version). The newest ones may not make as much power out of the same displacement as the Saturn, but they’re not Saturns! I think even the Pontiac version of the Kappa platform is less [alternative lifestyle] (and they even made an extremely rare hardtop coupe version).

    Maybe because they’re trying so hard to make it not a girly car? No matter what, a convertible is a girly car. I’m not knocking them, they’re great fun to be in, but they’re always better with a hot chick driving.
