Oh yeah, having some equipment probs. Lower BOA giving probs throughout day. My twiggy ankles & feet are still 2 narrow for new boots even though I got women’s model. I crank them down so much the cables keep getting tangled in the reels. Also one of the toe straps on my binding snapped. Hope i can find replacement.

Now that was what i came here 4! I got my powder. Knee deep pow over crusty hardpack, but pow nonetheless! I am happy now. Snowed throughout day w/brief period of sun. The high winds on this morning’s forecast didn’t effect us.
On bus back to Sapporo, packed w/schoolkids. Snow coming down again as waiting 2 depart. No question, were coming back tomorrow!
Powder poachin pirates! Bigfoot like! Kokusai going off! Knee deep pow, low crowds, even the “crappy” on piste rivals best what I’ve gotten at WB.

March 11- wake up 2 c some snow on ground. Forecast is advising very strong winds though, that is worrysome.
So is the poor performance of my iphone just due 2 being US model, or does the j ones exhibit just as terrible data service? If so no wonder it’s doing so poorly in Japan. Saw Softbank giving away iphone.
Had me worried, rain as approach Kokusai, turn to snow in parking lot. Then blue sky. Up high was not bad at all. Lower get krusty. Snow started coming down, some pretty choice buttery smooth lines in the trees. On piste awful knee busting chunky. Good day, me happy, make up for Niseko. More snow coming down waiting for bus!
(0)March 7, 2009- Chisun Inn Sapporo, tiny room but clean, convenient location, no Net in room. Last night rain, this morning it snow!
(0)March 6, 2009- Arrived Narita ok, despite having the novelty of hearing your own names announced over the PA @ HNL. They wanted to know where the heck we were as everyone else was boarded! See what happens when u go too early & relax!
Tiny bit of culture shock into land of service, boarding flight to Sapporo, 1 girl to take ticket & feed into machine, another to hand back stub to u, another to man the terminal. Also need 2 get used to language where everyone assumes im fluent.
Mom just passed away this morning. Wasnt there, but nurse said it was
peacefull. When we left last night she was sleeping and my dad
remarked that she looked like an angel. Nurse said throughtout the
night that was how she was. Thank goodness.
Oh damn, at Queens. Mom had stroke w/a pretty bad hemmorage. Shes
going in for 2nd CAT scan right now. She will be going for surgery.
She’s pretty cognitive but cannot speak & no response from right side
of body. Writing this as much to calm myself as anything.
