After the incident with the FX-16, and after myself almost getting smacked, rammed, cut off, or otherwise negatively affected by people that dont know how to drive, I’ve finally decided to change out my little stock “Meep Meep” horns with something bigger. Meet the Freeway Blaster, by Fiamm.

These bad boys are rated at 130+dB, a good bit over the stock horns which are stamped 113dB. As you can see theres a pretty significant size difference too.

Dokuritsu Shoujo Gurentai

Just watched the DVD of the movie Dokuritsu Shoujo Gurentai (lit. Independence Girl-gang) 2004, retitled for the USDM as “Samurai Chicks” (Tokyo Shock, 2006).  I really wish US releasers wouldn’t go messing with the titles, not only because it is both f#@king unnecessary and is culturally insulting and ignorant, but because it makes it really difficult to identify the movie by the title.  When I first saw the title listing, I thought it was Samurai Gal 21 with Koike Eiko and Satou Eriko.  I was elated until I found out that this was a different movie… after which I remained elated, but for different reasons.  Viz was one of the first “insipid title” offenders by retitling the USDM release of Shimotsuma Monogatari as “Kamikaze Girls”.  WTF?! Airport Water

Now I could have sworn when we went to Canada after the “liquid ban”, the bottled water at the Airport Consessions was “only” $1.75 for a 20oz.

SO why the *&$!% is the price suddenly up at $2.99 for a 24oz or $3.49 for a litre, only 3 months later?!  Inflation isnt that bad is it?

It must all part of a carefully crafted scam!

Hmm, so today is the 18th Birthday of the Panchen Lama, who was “spirited away” by chinese agents 12 years ago.  (The Panchen Lama is the 2nd most important figure in Tantric Buddhism, after the Dalai Lama; and hes been in exile since 1959)  I wonder if they’ll let him out now; or continue the charade of “having private schooling in beijing”
