{"id":13,"date":"2007-04-24T12:00:54","date_gmt":"2007-04-24T22:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.studionewmedia.com\/blog\/2007\/04\/24\/st-louis-freeride\/"},"modified":"2007-04-24T12:00:54","modified_gmt":"2007-04-24T22:00:54","slug":"st-louis-freeride","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/studionewmedia.com\/blog\/index.php\/2007\/04\/24\/st-louis-freeride\/","title":{"rendered":"St. Louis freeride"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Short-list crew rode St. Louis last night, only Root, Ckucky, and me.\u00c2\u00a0 JT was just back from Kauai, and Chris was in birthing class.\u00c2\u00a0 Rode the cliffside trail,\u00c2\u00a0the main line, and 2-jumps down, then went back up to the powerline pole and hit the center trail to the junction with the\u00c2\u00a0switchback climb up from\u00c2\u00a0Hypodermics.\u00c2\u00a0 Rode\u00c2\u00a0all the way back up to the mainline and rode down the old way.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I (nobody?) didn&#8217;t feel like riding all the way back up the inner loop to do Dumps, but\u00c2\u00a0we ended up still having to suffer on the agave climb.\u00c2\u00a0 Dirt was dry but grippy &#8211; not dusty and loose like last Monday.\u00c2\u00a0 Don&#8217;t have the bike here, so no computer, but if memory serves me, Vmax on the trail was 21.9mph.\u00c2\u00a0 Root took some pics, so they should be up in the gallery eventually&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>On the way back to McB, checked out the sideways tree on University Avenue.\u00c2\u00a0 Looks like a good spot for\u00c2\u00a0photos.\u00c2\u00a0 Mr. Low-rent who lives in the building next to the tree started tweaking when he saw Ckucky&#8217;s HID &#8211; probably thought the aliens or HPD was outside.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a025 April 2007 -\u00c2\u00a0just checked the computer, and it was a measly 4.5-mile ride!
