A few years back, I got a whole <em>Hanasaki-gani<\/em> with dinner at an inn in <em>Rausu<\/em>. It was split between two people, but was still quite a challenge to eat all of it. This time around, in a visit to <em>Kawayu-onsen<\/em>, the crab dinner came with crab <em>sashimi<\/em>, crab <em>sunomono<\/em>, crab <em>nabe<\/em>, crab miso soup, crab rice, crab tofu, and of course, a platter of\u00c2\u00a0whole crabs!\u00c2\u00a0 There was no way\u00c2\u00a0we could possibly eat all of that crab.\u00c2\u00a0 Even with a valiant effort, we didn&#8217;t even get through half of it.\u00c2\u00a0 Only the dessert didn&#8217;t have crab in it!\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately, it was the first day of a multi-legged <em>onsen<\/em> tour, so we couldn&#8217;t bag the unfinished crab and take it home with us.\u00c2\u00a0 <em>Zannen, desu&#8230;<\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I remember going to <em>Dixie Grill<\/em> with the boys a few years back, and getting the <em>&#8220;trash can of crabs&#8221;<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 That was a lot for the 4 or 5 of us.\u00c2\u00a0 This was more crab than that, and served in addition to the regular dinner!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Okay, maybe not hate, but I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ll be eating any for a while anyway!
