<\/a>It was a very nice party, despite the food being marginal at best.\u00c2\u00a0 I was initially optimistic because I saw tomato and mozzarella salad, but the tomatoes were soft, and there was no balsamico<\/em> – only olive oil.\u00c2\u00a0 The small sides were OK, but the\u00c2\u00a0salad greens weren’t green.\u00c2\u00a0 The main course was roast beef, which was overdone and salty.\u00c2\u00a0 The dude\u00c2\u00a0carving\/serving the roast was having trouble cutting slices since the dry meat would crumble like corned beef.\u00c2\u00a0 He cut off a\u00c2\u00a030mm-thick slab, dropped it on top of my plate and said, “thanks for helping me out, buddy.”\u00c2\u00a0 Great.\u00c2\u00a0 The dessert table had a cheesecake-like thing with a sour fruit (pear?)\u00c2\u00a0glaze, a chocolate mousse with whip and fruit topping, and some kind of dry cake.\u00c2\u00a0 Three choices.\u00c2\u00a0 Whee.\u00c2\u00a0 The coffee was actually good.<\/p>\n
