\"IMG_0874\"<\/a>Since Scat was in the neighborhood after his stint of standing on the side of the road in the pouring rain, we decided to grease up his sled. I bought one of those starter air tool kits, and\u00c2\u00a0the kind of odd tools that they threw into the set was the air grease gun. Unless you’re a garage working on cars everyday, grease guns aren’t something you use very often, so I only have the manual hand pumped one. Having an air powered one seemed a little silly, but Scat’s old school ride was a perfect opportunity! Up front I think it’s got at least 8 grease fitting joints on each side, and there were a few that he couldn’t get with a hand pump.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_0875\"<\/a>Enter the pneumatic, it cranks more pressure, with just a press of a button! We load up the grease cartridge, and after some false starts trying to figure out how to prime it, we’re good to go. Scat sets about madly pumping grease wherever it would go. It works well, but there seems to be two joints that just don’t want to take any grease. It just oozes out all over the nipple. Ah well, until we can figure out a tighter fitting nozzle to get more effective pressure into the joint, this was the best we would do tonight. On the ride for vittles down the street, Scat was pretty happy with the much decreased squeaky bedspring action.
