I disconnect the right cluster \u00e2\u20ac\u201c problem goes away.<\/p>\n<p>Weird.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.studionewmedia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/filament.JPG\" title=\"filament.JPG\"><img vspace=\"5\" align=\"left\" src=\"http:\/\/www.studionewmedia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/filament.thumbnail.JPG\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"filament.JPG\" title=\"filament.JPG\" \/><\/a>I reconnect the left cluster to see if removing all of the brake lights from the circuit caused a false solution \u00e2\u20ac\u201c problem is still gone. \u00c2\u00a0It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the right cluster, alright. \u00c2\u00a0I pop the tail\/reverse bulb and find that the brake filament has burned out.\u00c2\u00a0 The leftover bits of the filament have fused the hot side of the brake circuit to the hot side of the tail filament.\u00c2\u00a0 Hitting the brake energizes the parking light circuit behind the switch or fuse!<a href=\"http:\/\/www.studionewmedia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/welded.JPG\" title=\"welded.JPG\"><img vspace=\"5\" align=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/www.studionewmedia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/welded.thumbnail.JPG\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"welded.JPG\" title=\"welded.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I replace the mystery China bulb with a slightly-less-mystery Sylvania Bulgaria one.<\/p>\n<p>All is good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WTF!
