Ahh!\u00c2\u00a0 To be back in Honolulu where a decent Mexican dinner can be had!<\/p>\n
Met Fabio, Tracy, and JT for dinner at Los Chaparros<\/em> last night.\u00c2\u00a0 I had a 2-item meal with a chicken enchilada and a soft taco al pastor<\/em> ($13 USD).\u00c2\u00a0 It was “$3 beer night”, so I had a Negra Modelo<\/em>.<\/p>\n If it’s one thing that Whistler is missing, it’s a good Mexican restaurant. There’s Caramba<\/em>, the Mexican restaurant that serves Italian food.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I’ve been there once the first time we visited Whistler and never had any hint of a desire to go back.\u00c2\u00a0 There’s Dup’s Burritos<\/em>, the little hole-in-the-wall with the ethnically insensitive sign (it features a round-faced dark-skinned man with a sombrero<\/em> and a big moustache).\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve heard mixed things about this place.\u00c2\u00a0 Kevin and Naomi had nachos there and found them to be good, but the Symphony Ninja Sandwich Boys<\/em> described a\u00c2\u00a0Dup’s burrito as, “a wrap with crap in it”.\u00c2\u00a0 That has almost a\u00c2\u00a0Ted\u00c2\u00a0Geisel<\/em> ring to\u00c2\u00a0it…\u00c2\u00a0 There is a new place over on\u00c2\u00a0Creekside that opened this season, but we didn’t have a chance to try it.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe next time…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Ahh!\u00c2\u00a0 To be back in Honolulu where a decent Mexican dinner can be had!
