mini<em> musubi<\/em> rice balls built around a small breaded shrimp <em>ebi tenpura<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 For $7.95 USD plus tax you get six slightly-too-big-to-be-a-mouthful tenmusu and a scant pinch of <em>kyarabuki<\/em> (a <em>tsukudani<\/em> made from <em>fuki<\/em>, <em>Petasites japonicus<\/em>) &#8211; they&#8217;ve gotten pretty Chang with that.\u00c2\u00a0 That&#8217;s about the going rate, since a pack of five at the <em>Meibutsu Tenmusu Senjyuu<\/em> at Nagoya Centrair is around 735-yen.\u00c2\u00a0 The rice in the Jiraiya ones is a bit on the gummy side compared to Senjyuu, but\u00c2\u00a0that could be related to adapting to the loaner equipment in the temporary space.\u00c2\u00a0 I do actually prefer the taste of the Senjyuu ones, but I&#8217;m not flying all the way to Nagoya on a whim for them!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Recommended<\/p>\n<p>Three out of four mouth-too-full monkeys<\/p>\n<p>$7.95\u00c2\u00a0USD plus sales tax<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once again, Nagoya&#8217;s Jiraiya is back at Shirokiya selling their ebi-tenmusu &#8211;
